Given it's the Routemaster's 70th anniversary this year, it is rather fitting that we have RM1568 in stock. RM1568 was new in April 1963, and refurbished in 2001 by Marshall, where it received a new Cummins Inc 6BTA 5.9 Litre engine, driven through a Allison Transmission MT643 gearbox. This example has had a lot of money spent on it mechanically, with receipts for all work done, and the interior has been kept well. Externally, it is also very tidy and just needs some paint on the nearside roof line, where the adverts where removed and on the centre band at the rear. On the interior, the only work required is some flaking paint in the roof towards the front. RM1568's Cummins engine has plenty of power and will easily sit at 60mph. It also has a digital tachograph fitted and a sound system. We are looking for offers I'm the region of £29,955+VAT for this fine example as it could easily be put back into service quickly, or is ideal for a preservation project from the 'Dartmaster' era.
